I’m using a travel information app already for public transport in Stockholm, so I looked for other apps that I haven’t used yet and found “Reskollen”.
It seems to work in the same way as mostly of the other apps, where you can search for a trip, using maps for seeing where you are travelling, show the nearest station and store your favourite trips.
You could also find information about how the traffic are running, and maps over bigger stations.
One thing that I think is especially good with this app is that it also works offline, so when SL:s homepage is down, or you can’t connect to internet, then you can still find your trip.
Often you have the problem that you are under ground level, or in a building and therefor it is hard to use online applications. This app is then the solution.
From 167 persons the app was graded 4.4 on a 1 -5 scale and it has been installed between 10 000 and 50 000 times.
This app is not designed for being used together with the original travel app, it contains all information you can find on the other apps and even more.
The only negative I can see with this app is that it handles too much information, so that it is hard for users to just use the app quick. But at the same time when I read the reviews most of the users says that the app is easy to use, so probably it is easy when you get used to the new interface.
When we now have this app full of information, the only thing they could possibly add is information about how crowded the bus/train are. That is one of the things that people requested when we did the interviews.
